The Run of the Mill 5K is Returning to Mill Creek!
After 37 years of history, the Run of the Mill 5K is once again taking place in Mill Creek!

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable event, please note the following temporary road closures:
• Main Street (153rd to 156th): Closed from 5:30 AM – 11:30 AM
• Main Street (153rd to 149th St): Closed from 8:45 AM – 10:30 AM
• North Creek Drive (Main Street to Dumas Road): Closed from 8:45 AM – 10:30 AM

Northbound lanes will remain open for emergency vehicles only.

We appreciate your patience and support. Roads will reopen as quickly as possible, and our volunteers will make sure the area is clean and free of trash after the event. Come join the Mill Creek community for this fun, family-friendly tradition! Whether you run, jog, or walk, you’ll be part of building a stronger, more connected community!

Mill Creek City Hall and Passport Services will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 1st.

Passport Services will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 2nd, at 8:00 a.m.

The new school year is almost here! Tomorrow, August 27, is the first day back to school for the Everett School District.

We would like to remind our community to be aware of posted School Zone areas and speeds, especially with all the children heading out to their bus stops.

The Mill Creek Police Department Traffic Unit will be out conducting traffic emphasis in School Zone areas.

We’ve heard your concerns, and we are on it!

Mill Creek Officers have stepped up education and enforcement efforts with unlawful e-motorcycle usage on our streets and sidewalks. Officers are conducting traffic stops, warning operators and their parents, and eventually impounding e-motorcycles that are not street legal for repeat offenders.

Unfortunately, we are encountering several repeat offenders who are ignoring our warnings, which has resulted in traffic infractions being issued, as well as arrests being made for Reckless Driving (RCW 46.61.500) and, in some cases, Eluding (RCW 46.61.500).

Our priority is safety first!

E-Bike and E-Motorcycle Usage Facts:

The use of all motorcycles (gas and electric) must meet several legal requirements in the City of Mill Creek. These requirements include:

• "No person may drive either a two-wheeled or a three-wheeled motorcycle, or a motor-driven cycle unless such person has a valid driver's license specially endorsed by the director to enable the holder to drive such vehicles." (RCW 46.20.500).
• Street legal safety features are required, such as headlights, brake lights, mirrors, tires, fenders, and a horn.
• Safety gear is required, including a Department of Transportation-approved helmet.
• You must have a knowledge of traffic laws and ride responsibly.

Snohomish Country trucks will be back out striping roads and select intersections in Mill Creek this Saturday, August 23.

𝐖𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐤! 🚗

Fall is fast approaching, and the time to register your vehicle for Trunk-or-Treat on Main 🎃 is here! Select a theme, decorate your trunk, bring your volunteers, and the City supplies the candy.

On Saturday, August 16th, at approximately 5:00 pm, Mill Creek Police were dispatched to the Swift Orange Line bus stop at the 800 block of 164th St. SE, in response to a report of an assault with a weapon.  When officers arrived, they learned that several juveniles already on the bus got into a physical altercation with a male and a female who later entered the coach at this location.  

The male and female exited the bus, and shots were exchanged between the male outside the bus and the juveniles inside.  All suspects fled on foot before police arrived. There were no injuries due to the gunfire.  

A K-9 unit was able to locate and detain two juveniles. One juvenile was released to the hospital for treatment of a canine bite, while the other was released to a parent.  Detectives have identified one additional juvenile and are continuing to investigate the other subjects involved.
