At last night’s Council meeting, Mayor Stephanie Vignal proclaimed August 4, 2026 as National Night Out in Mill Creek. Members of the Mill Creek Police Department and Citizen Patrol were in attendance to accept the proclamation. The City invites the community to Buffalo Park for the National Night Out event starting at 5:00 p.m. Find out more at millcreekwa.gov/events.

Event parking can be found at the Advent Lutheran Church (4306 132nd St. SE) parking lot.

Please remember to bring your donations of school supplies to the MCPD tent and canned food donations to the Mill Creek Community Food Bank tent!

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

What an incredible night at Party in the Parks & Kids Fun Run at Mill Creek Sports Park last night! Your energy, smiles, and community spirit made the whole event unforgettable.

A huge shout out to all our young runners in the K-1st, 2nd-3rd, and 4th-5th grade races—you brought the excitement! We had three winning participants in each category, and every runner went home with a Fun Run t shirt (thank you, Mill Creek Preschool!), race bib, and swag bag.

The Mayor also proclaimed July as Parks & Recreation Month in Mill Creek. Members of the City’s Park & Recreation Board joined us to accept the proclamation.

Possession, sale, use, or discharge of “Common Fireworks” is a violation of Mill Creek Municipal Code 5.12. A violation of this section would constitute a gross misdemeanor, punishable by a $5,000 fine or imprisonment not to exceed one year (365 days), or both.

Monday–Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(Appointment required.)
