Recreation Guide

The City of Mill Creek offers a variety of classes ranging from art, dance, robotics, 3D design, athletics, martial arts and more!

Mill Creek residents and businesses receive a printed version of our Recreation Guide & City Highlights inside Mill Creek Living Magazine about two weeks after our digital version is published. 

You can also view or download the digital version here on our website using the Recreation Guide preview link.

Ready to sign up?

The City of Mill Creek uses an easy online registration system called ActiveNet. If you do not already have an account, create an account and activate it using the instructions provided by ActiveNet.

Please note that online registration convenience fees are not refundable.

Don't Forget! 

If you are registering someone other than yourself, you will need to add them to your ActiveNet "Family Member" list. 

Ballet

Beginning & Creative Ballet

Offerings for ages 3-7.

Classes encourage imagination, socialization, and discipline in a fun way. Families are encouraged to watch on the last day of class for an “Observation Day.” The class curriculum changes each session. Instructor: Kelly Hui. Children of all abilities are welcome.

Bollywood Kids Dance

Offerings for ages 4-10.

Bollywood dance for all levels and ambitions combines Folk, Classical, Garba, Bhangra, Hip-Hop, and Modern dance styles. The instructor, Ashini, creates a fun environment where each dancer receives attention and coaching to help people from all cultures take their dancing skills to the next level.

Drawing Classes with Adventures in Art

Offerings for ages 7-12.

This drawing-based art education program uses a simple drawing method to produce original works of art using artist mediums. Children learn to think creatively, expand their drawing skills and may become more confident in self-expression. New drawing projects each session.

IncrediFlix Summer Programs

Offerings for ages 7-13.

IncrediFlix summer programs are all about the fun and excitement of making movies! Children will work in age-appropriate groups and go through all the steps that Hollywood producers go through, from “Action!” to “That’s a Wrap!”

Play-Well TEKnologies Workshops

Offerings for ages 5-9.

At Play-Well TEKnologies, we know that kids are already naturally gifted creators. We provide an environment where students can create without fear of mistakes, explore fundamental STEM concepts through play, and express their creativity.

Martial Arts

Tiger Kids - Kids & Family Martial Arts

Offerings for ages 4 and up.

Instructor Mitch Mayberry has over five decades of training in the striking, grappling, and weapon arts. A multiple National/International Champion, Certified Martial Arts Master in over 10 systems, and Senior Student of the Original Bruce Lee school.

Pickleball

Youth, Beginner, & Intermediate Pickleball

Offerings for ages 8 and up.

Whether you are just starting out, or you've been playing for a while, these classes give you the core fundamentals all the way to advanced play and strategies. Certified Instructor Rick Bomar is a USA Pickleball Ambassador.

Play & Learn

Offerings for ages 0-5.

Play and Learn is a free program for children from birth thru age five and their parents or caregivers to have fun playing together, creating art, listening to stories and singing songs!


Sessions are held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Robotics

Electric Wolves Foundation Robotics Classes

Offerings for grades 3-5.

The instructors (ages 14-17) are members of the Electric Wolves Foundation (EWF) of Mill Creek, and teach with the guidance of their advisor, Adam Melendez.

Sports Camps & Classes

Skyhawks Sports Academy Camps

Offerings for ages 2-12.

With over 45 years of experience, Skyhawks offers a best-in-class program that empowers local coaches to teach life skills through sports. Discover why Skyhawks has been the MVP of youth sports since 1979 with more than 10 awesome sports to choose from!

Scratch Coding

Offerings for grades 3-6.

Dive into the world of coding with this fun and engaging Scratch course! Students will explore all the exciting features of Scratch, learning how to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations. This is a hands-on class where kids will be coding and creating from the very start.

3D Design & Printing

Offerings for ages 7-15.

Learn the fundamentals of 3D design and modeling for printing in Tinkercad. At the end of the course, students will leave with a 3D printed object (additional charge depending on object size). Students will need a Chromebook or laptop with a mouse.

Inclement Weather Policy

The City of Mill Creek Recreation programs will automatically be canceled due to inclement weather if Everett Public Schools are closed. 

Weekend programs may be canceled at the discretion of the instructor and/or recreation staff if unsafe conditions exist. Instructors will call students for weekend classes that are impacted. Recreation staff will call sports league coaches of weekend leagues.

If class is cancelled due to inclement weather, there will not be a make-up day scheduled or a per-day refund.

Recreation Program Refunds

Refunds may be requested. If a written notice is received at least three business days prior to the start of the class/ camp, a refund minus a $10 processing fee will be issued within 15 business days. No refund will be given once class/camp begins. In the event of injuries or illness', refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Documentation required at time of request.

A full refund will be given if Mill Creek Parks and Recreation cancels a class/camp due to insufficient enrollment.
