Recreation Guide
The City of Mill Creek offers a variety of classes ranging from art, dance, robotics, 3D design, athletics, martial arts and more!
Mill Creek residents and businesses receive a printed version of our Recreation Guide & City Highlights inside Mill Creek Living Magazine about two weeks after our digital version is published.
You can also view or download the digital version here on our website using the Recreation Guide preview link.
Ballet
Beginning & Creative Ballet
Offerings for ages 3-7.
Classes encourage imagination, socialization, and discipline in a fun way. Families are encouraged to watch on the last day of class for an “Observation Day.” The class curriculum changes each session. Children of all abilities are welcome.
Bollywood Kids Dance
Offerings for ages 4-10.
Bollywood dance for all levels and ambitions combines Folk, Classical, Garba, Bhangra, Hip-Hop, and Modern dance styles. The instructor, Ashini, creates a fun environment where each dancer receives attention and coaching to help people from all cultures take their dancing skills to the next level.
Cookie Decorating
Sprinkle Sisters Cookie Decorating
Offerings for ages 6 and up.
We're passionate about making cookie decorating fun, approachable, and something anyone can do! All supplies provided, including cookies, frosting, tools, sprinkles, and take-home boxes for your creations.
Drawing
Drawing Classes with Adventures in Art
Offerings for ages 7-11.
This drawing-based art education program uses a simple drawing method to produce original works of art using artist mediums. Children learn to think creatively, expand their drawing skills and may become more confident in self-expression. New drawing projects each session.
Improv
Beginner & Intermediate Improv
Offerings for ages 4 and up.
Learn to open your mind, think freely, and laugh at all the silly scenes, games, and funny characters we come up with. Improv is not only fun; it enhances daily life and is an exercise for the mind. No experience necessary.

At Play-Well TEKnologies, we know that kids are already naturally gifted creators. We provide an environment where students can create without fear of mistakes, explore fundamental STEM concepts through play, and express their creativity.
Martial Arts
Tiger Kids - Kids & Family Martial Arts
Offerings for ages 4 and up.
Instructor Mitch Mayberry has over five decades of training in the striking, grappling, and weapon arts. A multiple National/International Champion, Certified Martial Arts Master in over 10 systems, and Senior Student of the Original Bruce Lee school.
Pickleball
Beginner and Intermediate Pickleball
Offerings for ages 16 and up.
Whether you are just starting out, or you've been playing for a while, these classes give you the core fundamentals all the way to advanced play and strategies. Certified instructor Rick Bomar is a USA Pickleball Ambassador.
Play & Learn
Offerings for ages 0-5.
Play and Learn is a free program for children from birth thru age five and their parents or caregivers to have fun playing together, creating art, listening to stories and singing songs!
Sessions are held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Pottery
Clay Creations: Polymer, Air-Dry Clay, & Pottery Wheel
Offerings for ages 7-12.
Young artists will create fun sculptures, ornaments, figures, bowls, and other imaginative projects as they experiment with shaping, texturing, and decorating their creations.
Robotics

The instructors (ages 15-20) are members of the Electric Wolves Foundation (EWF) of Mill Creek, and teach with the guidance of their advisor, Adam Melendez.

Writing
Fiction Workshop
Offerings for ages 18 and up.
Learn the building blocks of fiction! Each week, two students will submit work for peer review. Constructively discuss the work as a class; each writer will receive written feedback from the instructor.
