Legislative Committee

The City of Mill Creek supports funding for projects that improve city operations, financing basic city infrastructure capital projects, and planning for land development and infrastructure improvements to increase and improve on city services as well as increase the safety of our residents and visitors across our facilities. The legislative committee consists of Mayor Stephanie Vignal, Mayor Pro Tem Melissa Duque, and Councilmember Connie Allison.

2026 Legislative Agenda

Open Public Space, Housing, & Public Safety

  • Support E-motorcycle and E-bike regulation(s) that are clearer and more concise for today’s environment
  • Support efforts to limit release of data and images collected by automated license plate readers (ALPR) and other public safety camera systems to protect privacy
  • Support policy changes that will lower indigent defense costs and court fees
  • Support opportunities to make it easier to encourage building a diversity of housing types for home ownership, including condo liability reform
  • Roof replacements of City park shelters and buildings at $75k

Streets & Stormwater Improvements

  • Stormwater catch basin repair & replacement at $4 million
  • City-wide sidewalk repair and replacement at $1.3 million
  • Public Works property acquisition at $3.5 million
  • Silver Crest Drive sidewalks and stormwater project at $5 million
  • Trillium Boulevard road and sidewalk improvements at $6.9 million
