Congratulations to all the Celebration 5K participants and the magnificent Megan, Audrey, and Leah from Girls on the Run of Snohomish County for organizing such a fantastic event and for choosing Mill Creek Town Center as the location for a second year!

The Party in the Parks: Kids Fun Run features three different races with age-appropriate distances for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade:

• Kindergarten & 1st Grade: 1 lap (.25 mile)
• 2nd & 3rd Grade: 3 laps (.75 mile)
• 4th & 5th Grade: 6 laps (1.5 miles)

Registration is required to race, and spots are limited. Each age group/race distance is limited to 50 participants. Register today at the Party in the Parks event page.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2025 State of the City Luncheon at The Forum in Mill Creek Town Center!

Attendees heard updates from Mayor Brian Holtzclaw, Mayor Pro Tem Stephanie Vignal, and City Manager Martin Yamamoto on Mill Creek’s recent accomplishments, economic development, and our 2040 Vision and Strategic Plan.

We were honored to have so many join us for our 2025 Memorial Day Ceremony and to hear from Mayor Brian Holtzclaw, Senator John Lovick, Congresswoman Susan DelBene, Veteran Kittie LaFazia—Commander of American Legion Post 127 and Director of the Heroes' Cafe in Woodinville—and Chaplain Nick Lewis. The event also featured presentations by the Mill Creek Police Department, the Mill Creek Chorale, and Bugler George Moffat.

Mill Creek City Hall and Passport Services will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26th.

Passport Services will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 27th, at 8:00 a.m.

At the City Council meeting this week, Mayor Brian Holtzclaw officially proclaimed National Police Week from May 11 to May 17 and National Public Works Week from May 18 to May 24 in Mill Creek. During the meeting, the Mayor and Councilmembers John Steckler, Sean Paddock, Melissa Duque, and Connie Allison presented proclamations to each department.

City staff celebrated the occasion with a barbecue earlier that day, and our friends at Nothing Bundt Cakes in Mill Creek Town Center provided delicious treats for the Mill Creek Police Department.

Did you know graffiti is considered a public nuisance and is the responsibility of property and business owners to remove graffiti on their property that is visible from roadways, rights-of-way, and other facilities open to the public (Per Mill Creek Municipal Code Chapter 8.10)?

To support this ordinance, the City created its Graffiti Abatement Program to provide Mill Creek property owners options to help deal with damage to their property caused by graffiti or tagging. 

The City has partnered with Lowe's Home Improvement in Mill Creek to provide a DIY option for free clean-up kits for our residents and business owners.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us this past Saturday for our Eggstravganza Spring Festival! Our Mill Creek community turned out in record numbers (over 4000 of you!) for this new and improved event, which included four separate egg hunts, Easter Bunny photos, and numerous games and activities.

Thank you to our egg hunt hosts for their dedicated coordination to make for a fantastic hunting experience, including Kiwanis of Mill Creek, Kiwanis Key Club, Mill Creek Sports, and the Mill Creek Family YMCA.

A sincere thanks also goes out to our sponsors, JL Remodeling, Mill Creek Sports, Chris Jones - State Farm, Community Transit, Starbucks, Town and Country Markets, Nancy's Noah's Ark, Premier Martial Arts, Carbon Health, Goldfish Swim School, Stellar Kids Dentistry, and Active Martial Arts, who help make free community events like this possible.

We also want to thank our volunteers and community partners who helped us keep the event organized, safe, and running with fun activities and games, including the Mill Creek Police Department, South County Fire, the Mill Creek Youth Advisory Board, WM, Mill Creek Community Food Bank, Elevated Sportz, Washington Rush, Smith Brothers Farms, Mill Creek Pride, and the Girl Scouts of Western Washington.
