E-bikes and e-motorcycles are very different devices and have different safety requirements to be operated in Mill Creek.

• E-Bikes: have pedals, have pedals, may have electric assistance, must follow speed limits, must follow Mill Creek regulations.
• E-Motorcycles: have footpegs, motor-powered, require safety features, require a driving endorsement or license, require safety gear.

Did You Know?

The use of all motorcycles (gas and electric) must meet several legal requirements in the City of Mill Creek. These requirements include:

• “No person may drive either a two-wheeled or a three-wheeled motorcycle, or a motor-driven cycle unless such person has a valid driver's license specially endorsed by the director to enable the holder to drive such vehicles.” (RCW 46.20.500). The RCW refers to the Director of Licensing.
• Street legal safety features are required, such as headlights, brake lights, mirrors, tires, fenders, and a horn.
• Safety gear is required, including a Department of Transportation-approved helmet.
• You must have knowledge of traffic laws and ride responsibly.

What an unforgettable evening at Pianos on Main: The Concert in the heart of Mill Creek! 🎹

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the joy of music and community. We were honored to feature an incredible lineup of talent. Scarlett Scott, one of eight winners of the 2025 Poet’s Perspective program presented by Jackson High School, Spark! Creativity, and the City of Mill Creek Art & Beautification Board, shared a moving poem about her memories of playing the Main Street pianos with her brother. Shai Permilovsky, a jazz pianist, composer, and instructor at Seattle Jazz Academy, brought his creativity and passion to the evening with his original compositions. And Josh Rawlings, Grammy-nominated pianist, songwriter, and featured performer on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “The Heist,” delivered an energetic and memorable performance of his most popular songs and all-time fan favorites! 🎶

Be sure to visit each of the four pianos located along Main Street, available for anyone to play until September 8, 2025. Pianos can be found near our community partners: The Jewelry Source, Goldfish Swim School, and Artisan Custom Framing, as well as on the Main Street Bridge.

Mill Creek City Hall and Passport Services will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 4th.

Passport Services will resume normal business hours on Saturday, July 5th, at 8:00 a.m.

The City of Mill Creek and Mill Creek Police Department would like to wish everyone a happy holiday! 

Remember that recreational use of fireworks can be extremely dangerous!

We would also like to remind everyone that the possession, sale, use, or discharge of “Common Fireworks” is a violation of Mill Creek Municipal Code 5.12. A violation of this section would constitute a gross misdemeanor, punishable by a $5,000 fine or imprisonment not to exceed one year (365 days), or both.

Please understand that all calls for service are prioritized based on concern for public safety and the significance of the incident.
