Mayor Stephanie Vignal proclaimed May 3-9, 2026, as National Small Business Week in the City of Mill Creek at last Tuesday’s Council meeting.

To mark the occasion, Mayor Vignal and Mayor Pro Tem Melissa Duque visited two local businesses to present each with an official proclamation.

Paddywack, one of the original Mill Creek Town Center businesses, has proudly served pets and their people for 21 years. Owners Adam Felker and Shane Somerville, who have led the shop for the past 12 years, continue to celebrate the privilege of being small business owners in this wonderful community.

They also visited Yoga in the Center, located in the heart of Mill Creek Town Center and owned by Janet Clayton. Janet embraces a welcoming, come-as-you-are philosophy—believing that all yoga is good yoga, and that no one can ever be “bad” at it.

We’re grateful for Janet, Adam, Shane, and all our small businesses, and for the vital role they play in making Mill Creek vibrant, welcoming, and uniquely ours.
