July Engagement Summary
Thank you to all community members that visited our booth at the Mill Creek Festival, July 12 and 13, 2025. The project team logged over 200 comments that will help shape the development of the plan. Most frequent comments included:
- Desired businesses: Many people shared feedback on specific businesses that you would like to see in the area. While we can’t decide who leases private commercial space, the plan will encourage a diverse, neighborhood-serving mix of shops, services, and gathering places to support a true town center experience.
- North Creek Trail and Green Space: We heard concerns about the North Creek Trail preservation and the desire for more parks and open space. The North Creek Trail will be preserved and improved as a central feature of the district, and the greenbelt along the trail is a protected area.
- Design Considerations: Many provided great feedback on design considerations including building height, walkability and other design aspects. As we develop alternatives, we will continue to seek public input on all aspects of design.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Design Review Board will be attending the Planning Commission meeting on August 21, 2025 at 6:00 PM to participate in the South Town Center Subarea Volunteer Board Workshop.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a possible quorum of Mill Creek Councilmembers may attend the Mill Creek Chamber of Commerce Annual Appreciation Luncheon event on August 19, 2025. No action will be taken.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mill Creek City Council will be holding a special meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11 AM until approximately 11:30 AM. The meeting will take place at Mill Creek City Hall, 15728 Main St. Mill Creek, WA 98012 and will be a hybrid meeting.
