Thank you to everyone who participated in the Mill Creek Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade yesterday! Both events were extraordinary, and our community, including parade participants, turned out in record numbers to support our United States Veterans and their families. 

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Grand Marshal, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Bruce McCann, his family and the Cogir team, Chaplain Nick Lewis, Senator John Lovick, Representative April Berg, Mayor Pro Tem Stephanie Vignal, the Mill Creek Chorale, Bugler George Moffat, and the South Snohomish County Honor Guard, and all in attendance especially local Veterans for making the ceremony so special. 

A big thank you to this year's fantastic parade emcee, Stitch Mitchell of KXA/KRKO, and to the teams at L.A. Fitness, Overlake Composite Civil Air Patrol Squadron, the National Guard, Heroes' Café, and Dick's Drive-In for generously providing free meals for our Veterans. We appreciate all of you!

These events would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, especially our wonderful Veterans Day Planning Committee: US Army Veteran Larry Beach, US Air Force Veteran & Heroes' Café Director Gary Walderman, US Army Veteran Kittie LaFazia, and Barb Heidel, our Volunteer Coordinator and Citizens Patrol lead. Special thanks to volunteers from Kiwanis of Mill Creek, the Key Club, our Mill Creek Youth Advisory Board, the DAR, and our parade marshals, Brad Nelson, Brad Asche, Argon Karameti, and Mike Todd for keeping the parade running smoothly. We also appreciate the support of our City Council, and our dedicated City staff!

Finally, thank you to the Mill Creek Police Department, our Public Works Crew, and South County Fire for ensuring the safety of all participants and attendees.
