The City Clerk's Office has the primary responsibility to fulfill the statutory requirements of the position of City Clerk. The goal of the Clerk's office is to promote transparency in government. Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the City's Public Records Officer
- Providing executive support to the City Manager
- Managing the Public Disclosure Coordination Team
- Maintaining the City’s central filing and records management system
- Codifying and maintaining the municipal code
- Processing special projects
- Coordination of contract execution and processing
- Overseeing board and commission activities and recruitment
