City Seeks Volunteers to Fill Park and Recreation Board Vacancy

The City of Mill Creek seeks volunteers with a background or interest in landscaping, recreation, interlocal agreements or other similar interests to fill a vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Board. This is a mid-term appointment expiring on Oct. 31, 2021. Full terms are three years.

The Park and Recreation Board is an advisory board that focuses on matters of design, development, procedures and proposing projects for all City-owned parks. Board members recommend the annual budget for the acquisition, development, and operation of park and recreation facilities and programs.

Board members should have an interest or professional experience in landscaping, land acquisition, or recreation, and must be residents or own/operate a business in the City. Park and Recreation Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall South, 15728 Main St.

Those interested in serving on the board may submit their name for consideration by close of business on Friday, June 14.
