If you have suffered loss or injury and you believe that the City of Mill Creek is at fault, please review the following information.
Upon receipt of the claim from the City Clerk, the City will handle the processing of the claim by opening a file and forwarding a copy to the appropriate department(s) for investigation. The department(s) generally to return comments to the City Clerk within 3-5 days. The City Clerk reviews the information and recommends either payment or denial of the claim. Finally, the file is forwarded to the City's insurance administrator, which does an independent evaluation and either pays or denies the claim it within approximately thirty (30) days.
Pursuant to RCW 4.96.020(2) the City Clerk has been appointed as the agent to receive claim for damages forms for the City of Mill Creek, therefore:
CLAIM FOR DAMAGES FORMS MUST BE SERVED UPON THE CITY CLERKS OFFICE.
